## Pricing & payment

- Interpreters are independent freelancers who set their own hourly rates
- The exact all-in price (interpreting, travel where applicable, service fees, VAT) is shown per interpreter before you confirm
- Sworn notary interpreters: from €280 excl. VAT for 1–2 deeds and up to 1 hour on-site; travel time, travel costs and service fees are excluded from this starting price
- CBR exam interpreter bookings: from €238 per exam, with the all-in price shown before payment; private CBR bookings are paid in advance
- Payment: iDEAL, Bancontact, Sofort, PayPal or bank transfer; business customers can pay by invoice (7 days) after approval
- Submitting a request is free; you only pay for a confirmed booking

- Flow: submit a request (language pair, situation, date/time, location) → available interpreters respond, often within minutes → compare profiles, prices and reviews → confirm your interpreter
- A booking is only final once confirmed through the platform

## Key policies

- Cancellation: free up to 48 hours before the start time, plus a 2-hour window right after booking. Outside those terms the full amount is charged, including travel time and travel costs. Cancel via the website or app only — phone or email cancellations are not valid.
- Rescheduling is treated as a cancellation plus a new request; the 48-hour rule applies.
- No-show (customer side absent or unreachable at the start time): the full amount may be charged. Interpreter no-show: no charge or a full refund.
- Phone and video bookings: the customer must remain reachable during the entire booked window.
- CBR exams follow separate rules: rescheduling more than 1 week before the exam is free of interpreter cancellation costs; less than 1 week before, or a no-show, means both exam and interpreter costs are charged. The CBR candidate number is mandatory (Reference # field).
- Complaints must be reported within 7 days after the assignment.
- Sworn interpreters are bound by professional confidentiality.

## Public API (for AI agents)

- Search is fully public (no API key). Booking requires an account: POST /register (email + password) → POST /login → Bearer token valid for 5 minutes (re-login when expired)
- Times are ISO-8601 UTC. Language-pair and situation names default to Dutch; supported endpoints accept `?lang=en` for English.
- Agent flow:
  1. GET /languages and GET /language-pairs → find language_pair_id
  2. GET /situations (and /situations/{id}/details) → find situation_id
  3. GET /availability?language_pair_id=…&start=…&end=…&type=phone|address (lat and lng required when type=address) → available interpreters with all-in prices
  4. POST /bookings (auth) with preferred_interpreter_ids → creates a booking request; the interpreters are contacted
  5. Poll GET /bookings/{id}/responses → POST /bookings/{id}/book with the chosen interpreter_id to confirm
  6. GET /bookings/{id} for status; DELETE /bookings/{id} to cancel
- For API searches, use `type=phone` for both phone and video interpreting and set `phone_type=phone|video` when creating the booking. Use `type=address` with `lat` and `lng` for on-site interpreting.
- `DELETE /bookings/{id}` submits a cancellation through the API; normal cancellation fees and CBR-specific rules still apply.
- New accounts must complete their first booking before creating additional ones

- Booking: a request confirmed through the Tolk2Go platform
- Assignment: the actual interpreting service linked to a confirmed booking
- Cancellation: ending a confirmed booking before the start time
- No-show: a required party is absent or unreachable at the scheduled start time
