My strengths as an interpreter

I speak both Dutch and Portuguese at the native speaker level and also interpret for Brazilian-Portuguese speakers.

About my interpreting experience

After being sworn in in 1994, I started working as an interpreter-translator. I have extensive experience interpreting for notaries and health care institutions. I have also worked extensively for the judiciary, police and in the legal profession. In the context of legal aid requests, I have been abroad several times for the judiciary and/or police. I also have extensive experience in accompanying foreign guests in the Netherlands (including Brazilian and Portuguese authors on promotional visits and theater companies). In recent years I have done a lot of interpreting for children and adolescents (in asylum cases, in schools and at audiological centers). As a translator, I have extensive experience with different types of texts (legal, commercial, notarial) and deeds and diplomas.

About me (place of birth, native language, other details)

I was born in Portugal in 1961 and came to the Netherlands in 1970. Both languages are my mother tongue.
