Book Interpreters with Your AI Agent

In short: Your AI assistant can now find, book and follow up Tolk2Go interpreters for you. Connect it to the Tolk2Go MCP server or REST API, log in once, and it receives its own revocable agent key. From then on it creates requests, reads interpreter responses, confirms bookings and handles changes, while you keep full control of your account.

Does your organisation book interpreters every week or every month, for example for patient appointments, client meetings or court hearings? Then you already know the routine: choose the language and situation, pick a date, compare responses, confirm and keep track of changes. An AI assistant can now do that routine for you, directly on the Tolk2Go platform.

You simply describe what you need. Your assistant searches the available interpreters, submits the request, checks back later for responses and confirms the interpreter you choose. You keep receiving the usual Tolk2Go emails, so you always know what is happening.

What your AI agent can do

Search without an account

Languages, situations and available interpreters are public. No key is needed to explore.

Create interpreter requests

On-site, phone or video, for any language pair and situation. A retry never creates a duplicate booking.

Follow up responses

Check which interpreters are available, compare them and select one, hours or days after the request.

Handle payment steps

When payment upfront is required, your agent gives you the secure payment link. You pay yourself.

Change or cancel

Submit a change through the normal approval flow, or cancel a booking.

Keep track of everything

List all bookings of your account, or only what changed since the last check.

How to connect your AI assistant

  1. Use your Tolk2Go account. Already booking with us? Use your existing account. New? Create an account first.
  2. Connect your assistant to the Tolk2Go MCP server, or give it the OpenAPI contract (addresses below).
  3. Log in once. Your assistant uses the login to issue its own agent key. The key is shown only once: store it in your assistant's secret store, never in a chat or prompt.
  4. Ask in plain language. From now on your assistant books and follows up with the agent key. Your password is not needed again.

Example prompts

  • “Book a sworn Arabic–Dutch interpreter for an on-site appointment at our clinic, Oudegracht 1, 3511 AA Utrecht, next Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00.”
  • “Request a Polish–Dutch video interpreter for our team meeting every Monday at 9:00 for the next eight weeks.”
  • “Find the three best-rated available Arabic–Dutch interpreters and send them my request.”
  • “Which interpreters responded? Confirm the cheapest one.”
  • “Show me all bookings that changed since yesterday.”
  • “Ask to move Thursday's appointment to 14:00.”
  • “Cancel the interpreter booking for Friday.”

Security: you stay in control

  • Your own account only. An agent key can only see and manage the bookings of the account that issued it.
  • Shown once, stored securely. The key is displayed only when it is issued. Tolk2Go stores only a secure hash, never the key itself.
  • Limited lifetime. Keys are valid for 90 days by default (7 to 365 days can be chosen), so your agent can come back weeks later without logging in again.
  • Rotate or revoke at any time. After logging in, a key can be replaced or revoked. A revoked key stops working.
  • Never locked out. Lost a key? Log in again and issue a new one. Your normal account login always keeps working.
  • You pay yourself. Your agent cannot pay on your behalf. When payment upfront is required, it gives you a secure payment link.
Good to know: keys are currently managed through the API and MCP: your assistant issues, rotates or revokes them after you log in. An overview of keys in your Tolk2Go account on the website or app is not available yet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which AI assistants can I use?

Any assistant or agent that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) over Streamable HTTP, or that can call a REST API described in OpenAPI. Developers can also build their own integration on the same API.

Do I need an account?

Searching languages, situations and available interpreters works without an account. Booking and managing requests always belong to a Tolk2Go customer account. Your assistant logs in once and then works with its own agent key.

Does my assistant keep my password?

It does not need to. The login is only used to issue the agent key. After that, your assistant works with the key, which you can revoke at any time without changing your password.

What happens if an agent key is lost or leaked?

Log in and revoke the key, then issue a new one. The revoked key stops working, and it could only ever access the bookings of your own account.

Will I still receive emails from Tolk2Go?

Yes. You keep receiving the usual emails about interpreter responses and booking changes. Your agent reads the same status through the API.

Can I see or manage agent keys in my Tolk2Go account?

Not yet. Keys are currently issued, listed, rotated and revoked through the API and MCP after you log in. Need help? Contact us.
