About my interpreting experience

I have been working as a professional interpreter and translator since 2013. Over the years I have gained extensive experience in community interpreting, public service interpreting and sworn interpreting. My work involves facilitating communication between Dutch, English and Spanish speakers in different contexts, ensuring accuracy, neutrality and confidentiality at all times. Before becoming fully self-employed, I also worked in the language industry as Teamleader at Integrated Language Services at Blondé Communications (Edegem, Belgium) and as a translator at The Loc People in Dublin. In addition, I completed an interpreting internship with the NGO CATAPA in Ghent, which gave me early experience in interpreting in social and international contexts.

About me (place of birth, native language, other details)

I am a sworn interpreter and translator and a certified community interpreter working with Dutch, English and Spanish. I was born and raised in Belgium and have always been passionate about languages and intercultural communication. My international experience has played an important role in shaping my language skills and cultural awareness. I spent one year in Dublin, Ireland, where I worked as a translator, and earlier in my life I spent a year in Honduras, which allowed me to immerse myself in Spanish language and culture. These experiences have strengthened my ability to navigate multilingual and multicultural communication contexts. I currently work as a self-employed interpreter and translator, supporting communication between individuals, institutions and organisations in a wide range of professional settings.
