My strengths as an interpreter

I am flexible and strive to interpret the speaker(s) as naturally as possible. I convey the message as intended, with careful attention to cultural and linguistic nuances.

About my interpreting experience

I have been a certified C1 English interpreter since November 2022. I interpret for various institutions, ranging from courts, law firms, and hospitals to prisons, police stations, asylum seeker centers, and detention centers. I also interpret at corporate events, lectures, and citizens' assemblies.

About me (place of birth, native language, other details)

I was born in Sittard, Limburg. My native language is Dutch, but I speak English at C2 level because I lived in Malta for about 8 months. I was also raised speaking the Limburg dialect, so this is also an option for Limburg enthusiasts. I also have a Thomann whisper set with two receivers.

Credentials

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpreting. I have also taken various courses to broaden my knowledge of the legal system.
