My strengths as an interpreter

I am an experienced Tigrinya interpreter with a unique multicultural background. I have many years’ experience working with unaccompanied refugee minors, which means that I not only interpret, but also genuinely build bridges between clients and professionals.

About my interpreting experience

I work at Global Tolk, one of the largest interpreting agencies in the Netherlands. I have extensive experience working with unaccompanied refugee minors as a support worker and interpreter, and in addition to translating, I often act as a cultural mediator.

I am an experienced Tigrinya interpreter with a unique multicultural background. Born in Sudan to an Ethiopian mother and an Eritrean father, I grew up immersed in three cultures. This gives me a deep understanding of cultural nuances, enabling me not only to interpret, but also to truly build bridges between clients and professionals. I have been living in the Netherlands for quite some time now and am familiar with both Dutch and Eritrean/Ethiopian/Sudanese ways of communicating.
