About my interpreting experience

I have been working as a professional interpreter since 2024 and have gained experience in various fields, including legal, medical, and social services. I have provided interpretation services during police interrogations, court proceedings, meetings with attorneys, medical examinations, and other official meetings, among other situations. In addition, I regularly take courses and participate in continuing education programs to further develop my professional knowledge and skills.

I was born and raised in Syria and lived there until I was sixteen. Arabic is my native language, and I have a background in Arabic language and literature. In addition, I have an advanced command of Dutch. Thanks to my background and extensive knowledge of various Arabic dialects, I am well acquainted with both the linguistic and cultural differences within the Arabic-speaking world. I am certified to work with multiple Arabic language variants and dialects and am active as an interpreter and translator.

Certified Arabic interpreter (C1 level) for multiple Arabic language variants and dialects, including Syrian-Lebanese, Palestinian-Jordanian, Iraqi, Standard Arabic, Egyptian, Libyan, Sudanese, Yemeni, and Saudi Arabic. In addition, I am a certified translator for Arabic-Dutch and Dutch-Arabic, as well as an interpreter for English-Dutch. I am registered in the Register of Certified Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv) under number 40900. I have also completed various specialized courses and continuing education programs, including in the fields of legal interpreting, linguistic research, and audiological assessment of children.
