My strengths as an interpreter are quick, live simultaneous interpretation and a friendly, problem-solving attitude.
Since 2023, I've been interpreting simultaneously for universities weekly, both for events as well as co-determination councils. This includes both online and in-person experience for groups large and small. I have also done muncipality work at larger events like citizens' assemblies for large groups. Since I became a sworn interpreter in 2025, I have interpreted many deeds at notaries.
I was born in Reeuwijk, the Netherlands, though by now I live on the other side of the country where most of my family resides. Dutch is both my nationality and native language and I've been interested in other cultures ever since I was a child. Understanding is key for interpretation, so endless curiosity for just about everything came in handy!
I went to ITV Hogeschool voor Tolken en Vertalen from 2019 until 2024, where I first followed the translator track for three years before I switched to interpreting. I completed my education there with a BA for interpretation Dutch-English and vice versa. In 2025, I became a sworn interpreter.
