Key Cancellation Rules

Less Than 72 Hours

If you cancel less than 72 hours, or three working days, before the CBR theory exam, the CBR exam fee may be charged to you.

No-Show

If you do not attend the agreed assignment and do not cancel in time, you may be responsible for the applicable CBR exam fee.

Working Days Only

The 72-hour rule is calculated using working days from Monday to Friday. Weekends and public holidays do not count.

Force Majeure

Demonstrable force majeure, such as an acute medical emergency, may be treated differently if reported immediately and supported with appropriate evidence.

How the 72-Hour Rule Works

  1. Check the exact date and start time of the CBR theory exam.
  2. Count backwards using working days from Monday to Friday.
  3. Exclude weekends and applicable public holidays.
  4. Cancel before the deadline whenever possible.
  5. If an emergency occurs, report it to Tolk2Go immediately and provide supporting evidence.
Do not wait until the last moment. If you already know that you cannot attend, notify Tolk2Go as soon as possible so that we can assess the situation and look for a replacement.

Force Majeure and Emergencies

In cases of demonstrable force majeure, costs may not be charged. Examples may include an acute medical emergency or another serious, unforeseeable event that makes attendance impossible.

  • Contact Tolk2Go immediately.
  • Explain what happened and when it occurred.
  • Provide relevant evidence when requested.
  • Do not assume that the cancellation is automatically accepted.
  • Wait for confirmation from the Tolk2Go team.

Each situation is reviewed individually and may depend on the applicable CBR rules, the timing of the notification and the evidence provided.

Cancellation by the Client

If the client cancels the assignment, the standard Tolk2Go cancellation policy applies.

Please review the Tolk2Go FAQ for the applicable client-cancellation terms.

Keep the assignment details available. The booking confirmation and agreed terms determine which cancellation conditions apply to a specific assignment.

What Interpreters Should Check Before Accepting

  • Confirm the exact CBR exam date and starting time.
  • Check the location and travel requirements.
  • Make sure you are available for the entire assignment.
  • Read the cancellation and payment conditions before accepting.
  • Save the booking confirmation and relevant communication.
  • Contact Tolk2Go immediately if circumstances change.
