I am an experienced and pleasant translator and interpreter. I started doing this work in 2003 (2019 for T2G). My simultaneous interpretation services are accurate and non-intrusive i.e. I do not speak louder than is absolutely necessary so distraction is kept to a minimum. I have an interpretation set with headphones at my disposal. Specialisations: (criminal) court cases and civil-law notary sessions.

After my employment as a proofreader and translator at a large accounting firm for 6 years I started my own interpretation and translation business in 2003. I have worked as an interpreter and translator in various police investigations (wiretaps and in person) in (criminal) court cases and for various businesses in the corporate world. I have been on government missions to Brussels Leeds Dublin and Texas.

I was born in Leiden and now live in The Hague. Before obtaining my higher vocational education (HBO) qualification as an interpreter and translator in 1996 I travelled and worked various jobs in and around Europe for 6 years some of which in the UK. Speaking English quickly became second nature to me. My network is still quite international and includes expats living in the Netherlands and friends who live in the UK and elsewhere. I am very practical and service-oriented. My aim is to do my utmost to achieve a proper understanding between parties. I am not keen on blind formalities and prefer to be practical and do what is necessary at a specific moment; very flexible!
