Is it free to register as an interpreter?
Yes. Registration is completely free. There are no sign-up costs, monthly fees or obligations. You only work when you choose to accept an assignment.
How does Tolk2Go earn money?
Tolk2Go charges a transparent mediation fee on top of the interpreter's rate. Both interpreters and clients can see this fee before any booking is confirmed. There are no hidden commissions or deductions.
Can clients book me directly?
Yes. Clients browse interpreter profiles and send booking requests directly to the interpreter of their choice. Tolk2Go does not assign interpreters to jobs — clients always choose.
What happens if I decline a request?
Nothing. You are free to decline any request without consequences. The client will then be able to select another interpreter from the platform.
How and when do I get paid?
Tolk2Go handles all invoicing and payment collection from clients. After a completed assignment is confirmed, you receive your payment reliably. No need to create invoices or chase clients.
What types of interpreting assignments are available?
Assignments cover many sectors: legal, medical, business, education, government, notary, CBR exams, mediation and private situations. Both on-site and remote (phone/video) assignments are available.
Do I need to be a sworn interpreter?
Not necessarily. Tolk2Go works with both sworn (Rbtv-registered) and non-sworn interpreters. Sworn status is required for certain legal and official assignments, but many assignments are open to all qualified interpreters.
