Sworn in as a translator in 2009, as an interpreter in September 2018. Since then often in court, IND, lawyers, I seem to be good at it.

I was sworn in as an interpreter in September 2018. Since then I have been working a lot at courts, (asylum) lawyers, the IND, sometimes home visits with social workers, a hospital visit etc. Theft of two bottles of wine and a bag of chips, 100 kilos of cocaine, a divorce, out-of-home placement, buying a house at the notary. Varied, interesting and challenging. I also enjoy being a Spanish English interpreter at film festivals such as the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), the World Cinema Festival in Amsterdam and the Spanish Film Festival in Amsterdam since 2012.

I was born and raised in Amsterdam. At eighteen, I met a friend in Cadaqués in the Spanish region of Catalonia. I started learning Spanish, later became a tour guide in Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala and Cuba, learned more and more Spanish, and in May 2018 completed the part-time study of Court Interpreter Spanish in Criminal Cases at the SIGV(.nl).
