My strengths as an interpreter
Simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, extensive general knowledge (current affairs, art and cultural history), rich vocabulary, collegial cooperation inside and outside the booth.
About my interpreting experience
I worked full-time as a self-employed interpreter on the Belgian market for three years, after which I joined the Belgian Chamber of Representatives as a permanent translator-interpreter. I am therefore very familiar with Belgian current affairs and politics. In addition, I regularly work for an anti-poverty association.
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
Born in Leuven and raised in a Dutch-speaking family, went to school in the bilingual municipality of Wezembeek-Oppem (Dutch-speaking education, intensive contact with French fellow students), exchange year in Italy after my secondary studies (Liceo scientifico europeo, Castelfranco Veneto), Erasmus stay in Bologna.
