My strengths as an interpreter lie in my enthusiasm and dedication to the profession. I get great satisfaction from my work and enjoy the variety that each assignment offers.

I am a sworn interpreter and translator Dutch-Thai with more than 10 years of experience as a freelancer. Besides the sworn combination Dutch-Thai I also work in the language combination English-Thai (not sworn), both in the Netherlands and internationally. In the combination Dutch-Thai I am regularly employed by courts, law firms and notary offices. Although my experience in the medical sector is more limited, I confidently offer support during conversations, for example with the family doctor or during hospital intakes.

My name is Yaowaluk Wongsuwan. I was born in Chiang Mai; a beautiful and well-known province in northern Thailand. Thai is of course my native language. Since 1992 I have lived in the Netherlands, where I did several studies. After my studies I fully focused on business, where I worked as a product marketer for both national and international companies. In 2010 I decided to give my career a new direction and started working as a freelance interpreter and translator in the language combinations English-Thai and Dutch-Thai.

I earned a bachelor's degree in Commercial Economics from the Hogeschool voor Economische Studies in Rotterdam and a master's degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. In addition, I hold a KTV certificate in Translation Studies and have obtained various certificates by attending professional training courses. I am currently pursuing studies in Thai law.
