My strengths as an interpreter
My name is Daniela, I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 22 I moved to Belgium and here I learned Dutch. After that I pursued a Bachelor in Applied Linguistics and a Master in Multilingual Communication. I am a reliable and professional interpreter who knows the deontology of my job very well. Being a bridge in communication is very important to me and I like helping people understand each other.
About my interpreting experience
Since 2021, I have been working as a Spanish-Dutch and Italian-Dutch interpreter for Asylum Seekers in Belgium and I am completing the training programs for sworn interpreter and social interpreter.
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, so Spanish is my modern language. Since I studied in an Italian high school and obtained the Italian diploma, I speak Italian fluently and I also know a lot about Italian culture. In 2014, I was pursuing the career Translation Spanish-Italian at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), but because I moved to Belgium, I quit. So in Belgium I had to start from scratch and I took a Dutch language course for one year before being allowed to study at the University. I wanted to grow, learn and develop myself. After these university years, I started working with my own VAT number to work as a self-employed interpreter and at the same time I am taking the court translation and interpreting course at KU Leuven.
