About my interpreting experience
Since my 17th birthday, I have volunteered to help people who do not speak the Dutch language. During this period I have interpreted for these foreigners in conversations with COA, Refugee Council, municipalities, general practitioners, doctors (in hospitals) etc. Now I am a sworn register interpreter in the language combination Dutch < > Kurdish (Sorani) and in this way I would like to be of service and interpret for you at a high level.
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born in Sulaimania in Kurdistan-Iraq. I was raised bilingual (Dutch < > Kurdish (Sorani) and speak/write both languages flawlessly. Interpreting is in my blood. From an early age I was allowed to interpret for friends, acquaintances and family members and even strangers who did not master the Dutch language (well). This is how I discovered that interpreting suits me and I developed a feeling for it.
Credentials
After preparatory scientific education in high school, I chose to become an entrepreneur. In the field of Interpreting and Translation, I did my training at the institute "Kennisnet for Language and Professional Training". I also took the courses for the specializations as listed above at this institute.
