I have been interpreting for a long time. Because of my work experience (11 years as head lawyer at the UWV, later as a lawyer and now for several years as a sworn interpreter) I have substantive knowledge in many interpreting assignments, I feel at home in many institutions and have no fear of speaking (not even to a large audience).

Because of my social security background, I do a lot of interpreting for the UWV, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, CBR driving tests, hospitals and the like. Because of my legal skills, I am at home with the courts (civil, criminal-OM, other disciplines-I often interpret for colleagues/lawyers), police (many interrogations), notaries (passing various deeds), CBR exams (all vessels), municipalities and companies.

I was born in Wroclaw, in Poland. When I was 17 I came to the Netherlands and finished my high school and 2 law studies here (social and social security law, economic business and public law). After that I had to brush up on my Polish again :). By now I am 57 and for the last 10 years I have been trying to find more variety in my work. Hence my focus on interpreting; translation - written interpreting - I prefer not to do.
