My strengths as an interpreter
An interpreter’s primary role is to support their client to communicate with others and ensure they are, and feel, accurately represented. This requires the interpreter be empathetic, sensitive to different social contexts and discrete with the information they handle. The first thing you should expect from me is an engaged and attentive professional with highly developed interpersonal skills that contributes to creating an environment where language barriers are of no concern.
About my interpreting experience
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2018 and as a freelance conference interpreter since 2022. I mostly interpret at conferences, European Works Councils, trade fairs, business meetings, during training in factories or plant visits. I also offer online simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services, as well as community interpreting at police stations, hospitals and other local institutions. As a sworn interpreter (DE<>IT), I also work and interpret during official events (court, lawyer's or notary's office, civil marriage).
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born and raised between Rome and the shores of Lake Bracciano and chose Frankfurt am Main as my second home: this is where I work as a conference interpreter, translator and sworn interpreter. My mothertongue is Italian, and living now with one foot in Germany and one in Italy, I am constantly in contact with different languages and cultures and have been able to develop intercultural skills thanks to which I approach every situation with the utmost discretion, sensitivity and empathy.
Credentials
I obtained my bachelor's degree in translation at the University of International Studies in Rome (UNINT) and my master's degree in conference interpreting at the Institute for Interpreters and Translators (IÜD) of the University of Heidelberg, one of Europe's top universities in the field. To add a further seal of quality to my skills, I became a member of the German Association for Conference Interpreters (VKD im BDÜ).
