My mother tongue is Albanian and I have a master's degree Magna Cumlaude in Albanian linguistics and European literature in Albania. I perfectly master the standard Albanian language as well as the two dialects (Tosk and Gegë). After the introductory course and basic training, I successfully passed the exams in Brussels and obtained the certificate for social interpreting. 15 years ago I started working as a social interpreter. In the first years I did many assignments for different social services and government agencies such as: municipalities, hospitals, psychologists, psychiatrists, CLB, schools etc. I have a lot of experience with difficult conversations concerning gender issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma and divorce. Since 2010 I am also a certified court interpreter/translator Dutch-Albanian. After 14 years of experience, I can say that I have sufficient experience in criminal law, civil law, immigration law and rental law. In 2022, I attended and successfully completed 6 months of training for court interpreters and translators. Through this training organized by the University of Ghent, I obtained two additional diplomas. In recent years, I have attended a huge number of training courses and obtained additional certificates and certificates (deontolgy of translation, note-taking technique, long consecutive interpreting, gender issues, working for the Mental Health Service, simultaneous interpreting, working with minors). I have worked for more than13 years for the asylum authorities in Brussels (CGVS, DVZ, RVV). I regularly work at various courts and tribunals in Antwerp, Mechelen, Brussels, Ghent and Dendermonde. I can interpret consecutively and simultaneously. In 2023, I interpreted simultaneously in 3 different assize cases (two in Antwerp and the third in Ghent).

I was born in Shkodër and there I worked for three months in secondary education as a teacher of language and literature. As a native speaker I have an edge and converting from one language to another is of course no problem at all.
