I articulate well, have friendly and social skills and a professional work attitude. I like to be practical, keep a cool head in crisis situations and enjoy working with people.

I have been interpreting for government, corporate and private clients since 2004. For government contracts, my preference is to work with the police. I also want to focus more on interpreting in the healthcare sector again. For individuals, I mainly work with notary offices. When individuals with a house in Italy call on me, I help with the contacts with the geometra, the architect, the contractor, the municipality and sometimes even before the house is purchased by interpreting during discussions with the real estate agent and/or the notary.

I was born in the Netherlands and grew up 3-language. I speak Dutch and Italian every day. Frisian is my mother tongue. In addition, I speak English well and get by in Spanish, French and German. Besides interpreting Italian, I work as a translator, I am also a teacher of Italian - I have my own language school - and I am the author of several textbooks.

I studied in the Netherlands and Italy and completed a university language course. At the SIGV, I obtained my certificate in court interpreting in criminal cases.
