My strengths as an interpreter
I myself am social by character which also helps very much to be an interpreter because good communication is our first point. as an interpreter I have to make sure that I make the whole conversation go well and that is only possible if you have a good perseverance to make the conversation go well and as much as possible understandable.
About my interpreting experience
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born and raised in 1998 in Baghdad, Iraq, where I was able to study until my first year of secondary school unfortunately I was not able to finish my studies because we had to flee and leave the country due to the bad situation in Iraq. In 2012 I came to the Netherlands when I was just 14 years old and was able to continue my studies here. Eventually I chose to be an interpreter because there are other people who need us very much.
Credentials
i took the interpreting course at SIGV in 2022 but due to that they went bankrupt so i did not get the opportunity to finish my course, after a while i still took the interpreting skills and notation technique course at KTV and was able to complete it successfully. Now i am registered for a practical exam and the exam will take place in november. since march 2024 i have been working at GlobalTalk, in the beginning i worked with them as an aspiring interpreter, and now since about 3 weeks as other interpreters so with a language certificate and also employable for government tenders. I am also registered with them on the emergency list.
