It seems as if talking is not only something I love to do loads, but also something I'm good at. With a mind that can go a mile a minute and mouth that apparently doesn't need to stop talking for me to catch my breath, I'm rather suited for simultaneous interpreting. Having to prepare well and for an abundance of possible routes the job can take when on location is fun to me, as is thinking on my feet and staying alert when in front of the microphone.

I've received my BA diploma interpretor German<>Dutch in September of 2023 and have since been sucessful in securing jobs in simultaneous interpretation for Dutch>German and German>English. While I've spent two thirds of my life speaking English and more than one speaking Dutch, I am still a beginner when it comes to interpreting.

Born and raised in Münster, Northrhinewestphalia, German is my native tongue. However, I started learning English at the age of ten and attended Biology, Geography, Political Education and History lessons in English rather than German, starting at age 12. Since I've never not been exposed to the language since I am nearly as comfortable speaking it as I am conversing in German. I've lived in the Netherlands for the past 12 years and learned the language through a 3 week language course and and a four year Bachelors degree for which I studied in Dutch. For the past decade my everyday life has pretty much been Dutch.
