I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to Belgium when I was 16. Korean is my native language, and after more than 25 years in Belgium, I have gained in-depth knowledge of Belgian culture. In addition to my passion for language and culture, I have a strong legal background, which helps me translate complex legal and cultural nuances effectively.

I studied law at the University of Antwerp and obtained master after master in tax law. Since 2016, I have been a sworn translator-interpreter Dutch-Korean and currently combine this with my work as a corporate legal consultant. Before becoming a sworn translator-interpreter, I worked as a lawyer, specializing in tax law, where I gained a lot of experience with complex legal issues and international tax law. I also completed my training as a sworn translator-interpreter at KU Leuven and am an active member of The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council. To complement my professional expertise, I also earned a Bachelor of Linguistics - Korean language teacher training.
