My strengths as an interpreter
I am clear in my communication, always remain neutral and have a great sense of responsibility. I listen sharply, work accurately and know how to adapt well to different situations. Thanks to my experience with people in vulnerable positions, I know how important it is to remain calm and respectful, even in difficult conversations. Discretion, professionalism and reliability are my top priorities.
About my interpreting experience
I work as an interpreter within various social and community contexts, helping people to really understand each other. Think of conversations with municipalities, social workers, doctors and authorities. Thanks to my work as a consultant, work coach and trainer, I have experience with confidential conversations, clear communication and switching between cultures. I bring that experience to every interpreting assignment, with full focus on reliability, clarity and respect for both parties.
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born in Iraq and my mother tongue is Kurdish (Kurmanji - Bahdini). In addition, I am fluent in Dutch and Arabic at B1 level, which I can combine well in my work. Many Kurdish words are derived from Arabic, so I can often place nuances and meanings well. Thanks to my sense of language and cultural background, I know how to interpret conversations in a clear, respectful and natural way.
Credentials
I have a degree in college level work and thinking and am currently training as an interpreter at KTV. In addition, in my career I have taken various courses and training in the areas of communication, customer-oriented work and guiding conversations. I apply this knowledge daily in my work as an interpreter and in other positions where clear communication and trust are important.
