About Kristian Koopman: Co-founder of Tolk2Go

Kristian Koopman is one of the driving forces behind Tolk2Go, a pioneering online platform transforming the interpreting sector in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. As a co-founder, Kristian brings a unique combination of personal experience, technical knowledge and a passion for innovation to the platform.

Our Origins

The story of Tolk2Go begins with a desire to address the inefficiencies and injustices within the traditional interpreting industry. Kristian, along with his parents Svetlana and Jaap, saw the need to create a user-friendly, transparent and fair platform that would benefit both interpreters and clients.

• Svetlana Mikelevich, Kristian's mother, has more than 20 years of experience as a Russian-Dutch interpreter. Her insight into the sector's shortcomings and her desire to create better conditions for interpreters formed the basis for Tolk2Go.
• Jaap van den Eersten, Kristian's father and IT expert, provided the technical expertise to develop a robust and intuitive platform. With his experience at renowned organisations such as IBM and TNO, Jaap knew how to integrate the latest technologies to make Tolk2Go user-friendly and efficient.

At the age of four, Kristian moved to the Netherlands from Slovenia. His personal experiences with language barriers and integration have given him a deep understanding of the challenges newcomers face.
