At Tolk2Go we sometimes receive calls from customers who are completely in a panic because they need an interpreter the next day. Which is very understandable, especially if it is for an important appointment. Or a sudden situation where an interpreter is needed. Or because they have completely forgotten to book an interpreter because of the crowds.
We reassure them and tell them that it is no problem at all for us. Don't worry, we've solved this for our customers countless times.
A good example of this is the following story ...
Godfrey from a major food wholesaler called us around 5:00 PM on a Monday to request a Chinese (Mandarin) interpreter for an important webinar next Friday. We said don't worry, that's what we do more often. Godfriend emphasized: "I really have to know for sure today and as soon as possible otherwise I will look for an interpreter elsewhere!"
The first interpreter was available within minutes. After ten minutes that were already three available interpreters. We called Godfrey with the good news. He was very happy with it and immediately confirmed one of the interpreters!
