My strengths as an interpreter
I am a court interpreter specialized in criminal cases for the Turkish language. In addition, I train new interpreters as a teacher at the SIGV (Institute for Court Interpreters and Translators). For the English and German languages I am specialized in notary law. I would like to remove your (legal) language barrier, because good communication stands or falls with the right interpreter. I feel the relief in people when they finally get the message but are also understood. That gives me positive energy every time. I am communicative, impartial, businesslike, flexible and happy to help you with all kinds of issues. I frequently interpret for civil-law notaries, the UWV, IND, COA, Police, Ministry of Justice and Security, healthcare, reintegration and job placement and commercial companies. My 20 years of work experience in business certainly helps. Contact me and I will help you overcome language barriers or legal obligations.
About my interpreting experience
I graduated at the SIGV (Institute for Court Interpreters and Translators). I interpret for the courts, Higher Court, Council for Legal Aid, Public Prosecution Service, CBR, Police Netherlands, UWV, Youth Care, DJI, COA, IND, AZC, and everything in between :) I have been translating from and into the Turkish language for 14 years now and it gives me energy every time. It is a rewarding profession and I am always told that I interpret accurately and that it is obvious that I enjoy it. The latter is certainly not unimportant. In the end we speak the same language together!
About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born and raised in the Netherlands in a Turkish family. The love for languages started at a young age as I already helped a lot with translation in the family atmosphere and my grandfather was also an interpreter for the guest workers in the 1960s. I didn't know at the time that I would also make this my profession, but I have always found languages fascinating. In addition to Dutch and Turkish, I also speak French, German and English.
