I now have more than 20 years of experience as an interpreter and specialize in social and legal matters.

About my interpreting experience

I specialize in social and legal matters such as maritime and air law, insurance law, social law, criminal law and youth protection law. Since 1995, I have performed several assignments with the courts of Ghent and since 2016 with the courts of Brussels. I gained a lot of interpreting and translation experience working with the Urban Integration Service of Ghent. There I translated brochures, police bulletins and hospital awareness brochures. I did this after working as a social consultant. I also worked with the cultural center of Ghent to organize Arab events, translated plays of international groups using subtitles and other administrative matters. Finally, I worked for more than ten years at the Urban Integration Service of Ghent as a social consultant, translator and interpreter.

I was born in Casablanca (Morocco), my mother tongue is Arabic. French was quickly taught to me as a second language.

Master in legal sciences from the University Hassan II in Casablanca Specialized master in maritime and air law from ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) Bachelor in social and legal assistance from the college of social studies in Kortrijk Certificates: Belgian maritime law, litigation maritime law and international law from Ghent University
