My strengths as an interpreter
"I believe my best interpreting skills really come out when I am interpreting between Dutch and Turkish. It is essential for me to be fluent in both languages so that I can communicate effectively in both directions. I pride myself on being able to listen carefully to the speaker and accurately convey their message in the other language. Understanding the cultural context is also very important because it helps interpret the nuances and subtleties of communication. I continue to improve my interpreting skills by continuing to practice and strive for a deeper understanding of both languages and cultures."
About my interpreting experience
"I developed my interpreting skills by participating in work colleges 1 and 2, and completing interpreter training at KTV. During my career, I have gained extensive experience interpreting for legal agencies and healthcare offices. This hands-on experience has significantly strengthened my ability to accurately translate complex material. In fact, I am now on my way to becoming a certified interpreter, with a scheduled exam at KTV in October 2024. I am determined to continually improve my interpreting skills and meet the highest professional standards in interpreting."
