My strengths as an interpreter
- Language Proficiency: I speak and write Dutch and Arabic at an academic level, thanks to my Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from Leiden University. - Cultural Insight: As an experienced Arabic interpreter, I bring with me over 11 years of experience gained in Saudi Arabia, where I had the unique opportunity to live and work in a multicultural environment. During this time, I interacted closely with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, allowing me to not only refine my language skills in Arabic and other dialects but also develop a deep understanding of cultural nuances and practices. - Intercultural Communication: My experience with different cultures has taught me the importance of overcoming communication barriers and respecting contextual differences. - Flexibility: My adaptability in various situations makes me suitable for both formal and informal interpreting assignments. Additionally, I am mobile and can easily travel as I own a car.

About me (place of birth, native language, other details)
I was born and raised in Amsterdam, and of Moroccan Berber descent. I am multilingual from an early age, with Dutch, Moroccan Arabic, and Berber as my native languages. In addition, I am fluent in Arabic (including various dialects) and English, which highlights my passion for languages and intercultural communication. I graduated from Leiden University with a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies. This academic background has deepened my knowledge of the Arab world, its languages, and cultures, providing me with a strong foundation in both research and intercultural communication.
