My strengths as an interpreter

My particular strengths lie in simultaneous interpreting. I have a high level of comprehension and sythetization and can maintain concentration over long periods of time. I have a wide range of actively used specialist terminology.

About my interpreting experience

Since 2001 I have been working as a freelance interpreter for courts, notaries, police stations, embassies, factory tours, political and economic conferences on various topics, for which I prepare myself accordingly. My work mainly consists of creating and memorizing specialist vocabulary lists and familiarizing myself with the relevant topics. My particular strength lies in simultaneous interpreting, but I also interpret some conferences by telephone or via Zoom, as sometimes the presence of all participants on site is not possible.

I was born in Freiburg im Breisgau and grew up in Curitiba, Brazil, where I spent my entire school career. Portuguese and German are my mother tongues. I speak Spanish at a similar level.

Studied interpreting at the HU Berlin, graduated with a diploma. Sworn translator for the courts and notaries.
