I have impeccable listening skills in both German and English and this has been greatly improved after completing and successfully passing a state-accredited couse in interpreting at the SDI Munich in July this year. The course also qualifies me to provide interpreting from German into German and English into English via "Respeaking" with speech recognition software for people with hearing impediments. As a mainly liaison and telephone interpreter, I bring outstanding listening skills, quick reaction times, clear and accurate interpretations into German or English as well as excellent interpersonal and people skills when working with my clients in situations that are sometimes sensitive or stressful.

I have over 8 years' experience as an interpreter from German into English and English into German for telephone interpreting in business situations as well as liaison interpreting in medical and other business settings. Some of my clients include agencies such as Domus Lingus as well as direct clients including Facebook, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit in Munich.

I was born and grew up in the north of England and I carried out my Bachelor and Master degree courses at the Univesity of Warwick and the University of Sheffield. My Bachelor degree was in German Translation and Interpretation and my Masters degree pertained to the political structure of the European Union. I have been living in Germany for 10 years and it is now my second bilingual language.
