As an Arabic-Dutch interpreter, I possess a good command of both languages, including their regional dialects and cultural nuances. I combine these language skills with a strong cultural awareness, allowing me to accurately convey not only words, but also the intentions and emotions behind statements. My communication skills, including active listening and clear explanations, ensure effective interactions in a variety of situations. In addition, I work with integrity, impartiality and respect for confidentiality. My flexibility and stress-resistance allow me to adapt to a variety of contexts, whether in legal, medical or informal settings. My professionalism and empathy make me a reliable bridge between cultures and communities.

My journey into the interpreting profession began during my undergraduate studies in Social Work, where I completed several internships. Because of my command of the Arabic language, I was frequently asked to support clients with interpreting. This inspired me to start a career in interpreting. I founded my own company in late 2023, and by 2024 I had provided more than 400 hours of interpreting services through Global Talk. My work was consistently rated 5 stars, thanks to my clear translations and friendly, professional approach. These experiences further strengthened my passion for connecting people and cultures.

I was born in the Netherlands, but moved to Jordan at a young age because of my father's work. My mother is from Jordan, and I lived there for 12 years, from age 6 to 18. Upon returning to the Netherlands, I took B2 language classes and obtained my NT2 diploma, which laid the foundation for my HBO degree in Social Work, which I successfully completed. My bilingual background and intercultural experiences fueled my passion for interpreting. In addition to my HBO degree, I am focusing on obtaining my sworn interpreter certificate in the coming period so that I can further professionalize my profession and support my clients even better.
