My experience in analyzing complex legal and social issues allows me not only to translate words but also to convey the underlying meaning and context clearly. In addition, I have gained valuable experience in the international business sector, where I worked on language- and culture-related tasks. In this role, I was responsible for translations and language support in both professional and technical contexts. I participated in international meetings, ensuring accurate translations and optimally adjusting the message and tone. Thanks to this experience, I have developed strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to switch quickly between different languages and contexts.

My multilingual and bicultural background, combined with my academic training, enables me to navigate different languages and cultures with ease. With a Dutch father and an Ecuadorian mother, I grew up in an environment where language and culture were constantly intertwined. This not only allowed me to achieve fluency in Dutch, Spanish (C1), and English (C1) but also gave me a deep understanding of cultural nuances and how language adapts to different contexts. My academic background aligns perfectly with this skill set. During my bachelor’s degree in 'Law in Society' at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, I specialized in legal and social issues at an international level, developing analytical skills to convey complex topics clearly and accurately. I am currently finishing my master’s degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Barcelona, where I have deepened my knowledge of Latin America and refined my Spanish language skills. My theses on legal pluralism in Ecuador and the state of emergency in El Salvador have allowed me to approach intercultural and international communication from multiple perspectives.
