I can describe myself as a calm person who is a good listener. Because of this I make sure that I interpret competently and impartially what is being said. You can count on me to act with integrity and I will observe my duty of confidentiality. I am energized when I can contribute to good communication without misunderstandings.

I have been working within the social domain for 15 years now. For the past 9 years I have been working mainly with the target group of newcomers where I use the Arabic language a lot and interpret on a daily basis. This includes topics such as work, income, civic integration and integration. Besides my core business, I also provide information in Arabic and interpret for colleagues where necessary to make processes run more smoothly. Recently I took the step to offer myself as an interpreter and founded my own company. I remain active within the social domain where I would like to continue to use my expertise and build a bridge between two parties who do not speak each other's language and/or do not understand each other's culture.

I was born in Baghdad, Iraq and raised in the Netherlands. I feel privileged to have grown up between two cultures and languages. I am proud to say that I speak both languages fluently. Over the years I have also been able to make both cultures my own. This makes me able to apply intercultural communication and understand different cultures.
